Pegase van’t Ruytershof (Comme Il Faut x Cartani x Diamant de Sémilly x Carthago x Lys de Darmen) never ceases to win accolades.  Crowned Champion of the BWP stallion selection at 3 years old in 2018, it was then his first crop that stood out by winning the Foal Championship for both colts and fillies in 2019.  An unprecedented feat, thus far!  A new distinction came his way in 2020 with this BWP Young Stallion Award, a year after his uncle, Nixon van’t Meulenhof…except that Pegase will remain with Jeroen De Winter for his sporting career.

“I think Pegase is a very special horse.  He’s elegant with an incredible canter, suppleness and all the ability… with a pedigree that is sought after all over Europe, from a well-known and appreciated line.  When we bought him, we knew that Nixon was going to leave and that made his departure a little less difficult.  I think he’s in no way inferior and I’m extremely motivated to perform with Pegase.  I know he’ll stay with me for his sporting career as well as his stallion career.  Last year, when we managed to keep Leandro, that same week, my father decided to buy the second half of Pegase, as we had been co-owners until then.  That motivates me a lot.”
