KWPN 2006 Bay 1.69m

Pedigree: Quaprice Z – Jus de Pomme – Wellington - Orthos

Baltic’s sire was the Grand Prix jumper, Quaprice, who unfortunately died just as he was making his mark on breeding. Quaprice was the son of the famous Quidam de Revel. The ‘Keur’stallion Jus de Pommes (two time winner of gold at the Atlanta Olympics) is sire to many Grand Prix jumpers. The line then continues with the proven sires Wellington, Orthos, Joost and Rigoletto.
Baltic’s dam is the ‘Ster and Prestatie’ mare Nellandra. She is the dam of the Approved stallion Vegas VDL and is a full sister of the Grand Prix jumper Mellandra.
Baltic carries 55,66% thoroughbred.
At the Stallion Inspection in Den Bosch, Baltic placed 4th in the ‘Champions Ring’. During the Stallion Test, Baltic locked in the top performance to become the Champion. He received a 9 for his reflexes, scope and talent as a jumping horse.
Baltic is doing very well in sport. He continues to develop impressively with his scope, good technique and his great reflexes. This talent served him well at the World Championships for Jumpers in Lanaken and in the stallion competitions. He placed 2nd in Zuidbroek and 4th in Enschede. In the final round at ’s Hertogenbosch Baltic placed 3rd and in the overall ranking he finished 3rd. As a 4-year old Baltic won the competitions in Hengelo, Zuidbroek, Deurne, and placed 2nd in Roosendaal.
As a sire, Baltic stamps his offspring consistently and well – the mark of a good stallion. Beautiful, athletic foals with much expression, with an easy and light-footed canter are the norm.
Three of his foals were selected for the finals of the National Foal Show: Hilde Balia SMH placed 5th, Heraldik V placed 7th and Hyrusa H placed 10th. During the Foal Show in Harich, Hilde Balia SMH was Champion filly and Halifax was Champion colt. Hilde Balia SMH continued on to take Champion at the Provincial Foal Show of Friesland. Hipyrusa H was Champion of the Foal Show in Schildwolde and was reserve-champion at the Provincial Foal Show of Groningen. In Zeeland, Heraltic was reserve-champion at the Provincial Foal Show.
Baltic’s oldest offspring are now 3 years old. They are appealing horses with type and exhibit good reflexes and good technique in jumping. During the first round of the KWPN Stallion Approvals, Baltic’s offspring made very good impressions; with two selected for the Second Round.
